Three.js · r180
The live 3D scene is powered by Three.js, an open-source JavaScript library. Version 0.180.0 is bundled locally with this website.
A world made for this website
The island, character, pipes, question blocks, coins, trees and clouds are original procedural 3D meshes. Lighting, shadows, camera movement and character animation are rendered live. No official Nintendo models or game files are used.
The navigation, movement and collision logic were created for this website. Sound effects are synthesised in your browser.
Pixel Platformer · Kenney
The pixel coin in the score display comes from Kenney's freely licensed Pixel Platformer pack. The original 2D edition also used its terrain and character tiles, which are retained in the project.

Press Start 2P · CodeMan38
The locally hosted retro typeface is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Mario projects researched
mariohtml5 (software: Unlicense) and Mari0 (software: MIT) were researched as open-source references. Their code and graphics are not included in this website.
A fan project's software licence does not automatically grant rights to Nintendo's graphics, music or trademarks. Super Mario is a creative inspiration for this independent personal website. There is no affiliation with Nintendo.
